How to... Assemble your plan & keep the original formatting
Question:
I'm using Biz Plan 10, Vista, and Office 2003….
MS Word format question when assembling a final plan…
When using the individual segments of Biz Plan builder the MS Word formatting is great.
Once I assemble for a final report, the formatting goes out the window and looks very bad…
How can I assemble and keep the original formatting?
Answer:
We used the MS Word 'Styles' throughout...
Sounds like the style sheet dis[never]connected with your finished document.
In Word, pull-down under Tools to 'Templates and Add-Ins'
On the Templates tab, click Attach...
A) Perhaps the JIAN.dot file will be in your Templates folder, click it and click OK.
B) No? Pull-down Next to "Templates" (above)...
C: drive (local disk) --> Program Files --> JIAN
Voila!
Click "JIAN" and quickly click the Open button (bottom right).
Be sure to click on '[ ] Automatically update document styles'
OK.
How's your document look now?
From here, it's best IMHO to use styles as your formatting tool.
Bueno?
